WW Freshmen Buddies Back to Events Overview

Freshmen Buddies is a year-long mentoring program designed to help incoming freshmen students better transition into Wharton and the greater university community. Students are paired up with a mentor based on preferences and are able to cultivate this relationship through large group events and individual one-on-one dates. Group events are geared towards helping students in all aspects of college from course selection and concentration advice to tips about fun activities to do in Philadelphia. By participating in the program, students will be able to make lasting relationships within the club and also take away invaluable advice from experienced upperclassmen.

“When I was first admitted into Wharton, I was contacted by Wharton Women and thought it would be interesting. My mentor, Lisa, emailed me and told me about WW and what else she does at Penn. Through her, I not only got involved in WW, but also in Dzine2Show, Penn's Fashion Society. I was able to go to her with questions I had, ranging from what classes to take or what to wear to Wharton events. Having a mentor was really helpful, especially in the beginning.” — Quote from Previous Mentee: Pooja Doshi
